Future Build Question.

HI guys, I'm already thinking about options for my next car, which could be this year, or maybe a year from now, but I think it'll be a Monte Carlo, circa 2004 possibly if I don't go for having a car note with a used Challenger. I have 12's now. I'm thinking of making the jump to 2 15s, and putting more into my upfront speakers. I'd like to have 4 6X9s put up front, 2 in each door, like Infinity Kappas or something, no components. But, I'd also like to keep 2 6x9's in the back, rear fill for passengers, since when I'm driving people like to just pile in instead of just 1 person up front. I looked at the AQ4x90, but what about the rear decks? Since they aren't AS important/audible to me would running them off whatever head-unit i get suffice? Would that be the way to go? AQ4x90?

I know it's a bit in advance, and even when I get the car, this year or next, I'll have a while to wait to get everything together, which doesn't bother me, because my current car set up, I bought everything before I even had the car, except head-unit, which was in my first car that died. I just went piece by piece.

What size would you suggest to do 4 speakers up front? As for comps, not something I'm ready to go with yet, maybe for super long term build. I feel fine with having not used components, and I know better ones with an actual amplifier should satisfy my 2 or 3 times more. Since my current Pioneer, forget the model ones, are all powered off the HU at 18 or 22 rms, I forget, sorry. I'm also not saying I'll never ever go comps or anything. Who knows, I could change my mind. But I think some Infinity Kappas, or something someone else can suggest, with dedicated amplifier will suit my needs. Hopefully I'm not coming off as dead set stubborn, because I got so info from here for my current set-up. I was super eager at first, and looked at all the cheap options, when a simple hold off got me back to my senses of I don't need technically the very best/high cost, but i certainly don't want the worst of the worst. Mid-level things suffice. So i avoided going for the 150 dollar amps that say they put out 2,500 rms brand new. I got a used kicker, that eventually died, then got an AQ 1,200 which has been a champ. Sorry for the tangent

I would say try a good set of 6.5" comps on a good 4 channel amp (like a AQ4x90, etc.) and you will be a lotttt happier than 6x9's on headunit power... believe me... and by the time you invest cash into two sets of 6x9s you can purchase a great set of comps that you would be happier with I would believe

Thanks guys, I've been rummaging around the forums, and I think I'll def go 6.5 comps for up front. I think I have my mind pretty much on the AQ 4 channel amp, since the 1200 I have has treated me very well.
