Fuse

Originally I had a 60 amp stock inline fuse but i accidentally dropped it and after road wear eventually it broke. So i went to best buy and they only had 40 amp fuses... Am I still giving full power to my amp that has a 60 amp fuse or is the 40 amp limiting the power?

My amp is an alpine mrp-m500 (500w rms 2ohm) with 4 gauge wiring.

The inline fuse sorry i didn't clarify that.

if the 40 hasn't blown its doing fine.. if the amp wanted more power it would blow the fuse

The only way the 40a fuse can hold you back is if it pops. You will surely know if that happens.
