yea i would check that first that could be your problem right there for sure

the amp is just cutting in and out at higher volumes the green lte just flikkers and the subs make a loud poping noise untill i turn them down..i have not seen it yet go into protect..it just keeps makeing a poping noise untill its turned down...then its good

if they are 4ohm that would be 2 ohms unless they are dual...

ya thair duals ...not sure id d2 or d4..i shoulda looked befor the install i was told thair d2 but if not that would make sence cause the amp would start to crap out under 2ohms

depends if your voltage is dropping to low for some reason then yea it would crap out

You have any other amps you can swap out and test to see what happens, or know anyone with an amp? Get yourself a dmm and check your voltage and check to see what ohm load your subs are at.

ya the vots shouldnt drop to much ive done every electrical upgrade possible......and iam gunna swap my amp out for my buddies sx1250 ...and ill use my dmm tommarow to check the ohms...thanks for all the help guys

You need to find out what ohm load you are presenting your amp. Simply connect one lead of the DMM to one of the speaker wires and the other lead to the other wire. Set the DMM to the 200Ω setting and see what it shows. That is the load that your speakers are showing the amp. If you have 2 sets of speaker wires, check them separately.
