Fuse Types

Not 100% sure but

ANL is capable of holding the highest amps....then agu then maxi, quite regularly people use anl's for their fuse near the battery and agu's in distroblocks for smaller amperes and the maxis are for quite smaller applications, such as lights and so forth

this is a generalization

ANL 50-500amps

AGU5-100

Maxi .5-30

Relatively speakin in car audio terms......an agu can hold much less than 5 and much more than 100 but they just aren't cost effective

kinda right, but u can also get MAXI fuses for around 60A i believe. its' just a different technology i guess of fuses that allow higher current. basically just know that it depends on how big of a fuse u need, if u need a lot of current, morethan 100 it's ANL n on on on

do each have certain looks? i know there's the "fork" one, where it has a plastic holder w/ the fuse metal running thru middle with the 2 metal prongs sticking out bottom.

then there's the one w/ the plastic tube and the fuse metal in the middle....

are the named after the design type?
