fuse sparking but not blowing.....shutting off amp

I looked at my fuse a little bit tonight and noticed that it has a bunch of smaller sparks and the amp stays on fine...none of the power lights go out....but then there will be a big spark then the amp goes off.
I am going to try a different fuse tomorrow probably. Its only a 200a fuse intead of 300 but maybe I can at least see if its the fuse or not.
what EXACTLY sparks? the amp or the fuse connection, or the inside of the fuse?

AMP=send off for repair.

Fuse connection=tighten that isht down! Use a washer if necessary.

Fuse=REPLACE IMMEDIATELY.

I just went and tried something for the heck of it. As I said only one side of the fuse is sparking and that side is burnt up pretty good. So I took the fuse out and turned it around so its backwards from what it was before....the bad side is on the other side. I was gonna see if the bad side sparked or if the good side sparked to kinda see whats goin on a little bit more.

Suprisingly everything worked just fine. No sparks...no amp shutoffs. So I'm guessing that before that that one side was just making a bad connection (which before for some reason that side of the fuse was between the washer and screwe instead of underneath both of them) which caused that side of the fuse to burn up enough for it to spark causing the amp to shut off. Or it could just be audiopipe bullshit! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I dont know why that bad side of the fuse isn't sparking now though. Would a 200a fuse be too small? I have one of those. No where around here has a 300a fuse I would have to order one. The wire is only about a foot long.

Its not the amp. It is on one side of the fuse. Like where the screw is to screw it down on one side.
