fuse sparking but not blowing.....shutting off amp

In my trunk I have a kintik 2400. Then of course I have a power wire going from the kinetik to my kx2500. I this power wire fused with a 300 amp fuse. However it has started sparking on one side when the bass hits real hard. It doesn't do it all the time though. But when it sparks it shuts the amp off. It doesn't spark on both sides of the fuse. Just on the side that has the power wire going out into the amp.

Your amp has gotten so hot...you melted the solder on the circuit board...It is making a bad connection now...you need to get it fixed while its a fairly cheap fix before you fry your amp.....

nope i dont have another 300 amp fuse. no one around here has one. i could get a 200 amp.

I looked at my fuse a little bit tonight and noticed that it has a bunch of smaller sparks and the amp stays on fine...none of the power lights go out....but then there will be a big spark then the amp goes off.

I am going to try a different fuse tomorrow probably. Its only a 200a fuse intead of 300 but maybe I can at least see if its the fuse or not.
