Fuse Size...

I will be running 1/0 ga. from battery positive back to a fused distro into a 4 ga. that connects to the amp....my question is, what size fuse should i use for the 1/0 ga. 250A, or 300A...and what about the fused distro? 250A or 300A or smaller? and for the big three battery positive to alternator, i know your supposed to have a fuse towards the battery positive end of the wire....again would i need a 250A or 300A fuse...or would i really need a fuse?

yes you need a fuse...what id do is just get the biggest fuse (300A) can never be too safe. Although i don know how much power yer running.
I have to respectfully disagree, Flakko...

If you go too far over the necessary fuse amperage then you'll defeat the purpose of that fuse's presense. i.e. ~ if a component would get fried by a 250 ampere spike that 300 amp fuse will neither lessen nor stop the spike from getting through.

I do not, unfortunately, have a definitive answer for what size fuse 94CamryBumpin should use but just getting the biggest one available so it'll be big enough isn't particularly good advice, imo

Fuse the wires that corresponds to the size of the wire, do a little searching on here and youll find it. Fuses protects the wires and blowing up your battery which could very easily hurt you. Be safe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i've decided since the A3000DB im going to get has a max output of 3000 watts (2300WRMS) im going to get a 250A fuse (because i heard that it was roughly 1A for every 10 watts of power?) for the power wire im gonna run through a distro into the amp with 4 ga. wiring...but i still can't figure out how to decide how big of a fuse to use for the big three alternator to battery positive?

Again use the fuse according to the wire size, 250Amps is excellent for the power wire 1/0 guage remember the fuses doesnt protect the equipment it protects the wires and the battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif For the big three if your using 1/0 guage use a 250amp fuse.
