Are these fuse sizes good, 1 guage from battery to distro fused with a 350 right after battery. The 1 guage will go to a distro that will go to 2 4guage wires, those are each a 150amp fuse, is this all good?

The highest fuse they have a knukoncepts for the ANL fuse holder is 300, so a 300amp fuse right after the battery for the 1 guage.

Code:
Gauge | Max Fuse
00 awg / 400 amps
0 awg / 325 amps
1 awg / 250 amps
2 awg / 200 amps
4 awg / 125 amps
6 awg / 80 amps
8 awg / 50 amps
So 250 amp for your 1 awg run and 125 amp for both of your 4 awg

click Fuses from the right nav on this page: http://www.bcae1.com/

Would it be bad if i ordered the 300 and 150? Can it hurt anything, and if the wire grounds out will the fuses still blow?

The 300-amp for the 1/0 is fine. 150 for 4-gauge is too big. 100-125 would be better. If the fuse is too big, it won't blow when something bad happens.

It seems to me that you guys arent really giving him the best advise. As an electrician .. I always size these things backward .. from the amp to the branch to the trunk line. You know? Just cuz he has 1/0 and #6 wiring doesnt mean that the fuse sizes are correct for his draw. The fuse sizes should be depending on the amps .. not the wire size ... You want to protect the amps, not the wire.

yes, but as in MY case, the wire can heat up with a fuse larger than it can handle, and catch fire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That is incorrect. The fuse is to protect the wire in case it shorts to the chassis, to keep from starting a fire.

The fuses in the amp are there to protect the amp.

Oh my im so confused as what to run, everybody is saying something different and i dont want to ruin my gear.

I'd run 150 @ batt, 100 sub, 50 comp

150amp fuse for 1/0g wire? no way.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

yes, Kross is correct. You fuse according to the wire size. The 300amp fuse is the right fuse for 1/0g. I would use 100a for the 4g's. I was actually using 80a on the 4g I was using in a previous car. Use these fuses and you'll be fine. no worries. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
