Fuse Problem

I love asian babes!!
I have a problem in my fuse distribution block.

Seems that the fuse that is in the fuse block for my KX400.1 amp is being melted somehow. Solder or some sort of metal is being melted from the 60A fuse & being splashed to the cover of the fuse distribution block.

This is my setup:

battery --->4guage wire-->60A fuse--> 4guage wire ---> fuse distribution block --> 60A fuse ---> 4guage wire ---> kX400.1 amp.

setup for mids/highs amp:

battery --->4guage wire-->60A fuse--> 4guage wire ---> fuse distribution block --> 30A fuse ---> 8guage wire ---> KAC8401 4 channel amp.

I am not having any problems with the fuse that lines up for the mids/highs amp. Just with the one that is lined up for the bass amp.

Your wire coming from the battery needs to be larger than the leads coming from the distro block. You can't split 4ga. into one 8ga and one 4ga. You can do three 8's, but even that is pushing the limit for four gauge.

Fuse the main line (4ga.) at 80 amp. At the distro, split it into two 8ga. lines. Those lines should be fused with 50-60 amp fuses. The purpose of fuses it to protect the wire, not to protect the amp. If you are melting the fuses, chances are that you are overdrawing the wire and you need to go bigger (hence bigger fuses) to support your amplifiers.
