Fuse Problem!!!

The lights dimming is due to the current that is being drawn that blows the fuse. which is just a side effect.

What sub/amp/ohm load are you running? Is it possible that the amp is bad?

whats the difference between an anl fuse and agu and which is better and what would you perfer if you were using a directed 1100d amp an rating let me know someone

4 gauge and 100amp
I would go with more like a 150amp fuse. I dont know what that 1100d pulls, but if it is in fact 1100wrms then it will pull around 100amps after you factor in efficiency and such. So I would up the fuse to 150amp fuse, and see if the problem persists.

That is assuming he is playing +0dB Sine waves at full blast all day. The Directed 1100d is identical to the Viper d1200.1 and it should have 3X30A internal fuses. On mine I used a 100A inline fuse on the power wire. Remember, if the ampplifier is internally fused, then on your power wire, you should fuse for power wire rating. 150A is usually the max recommended for 4awg. 100A is completely fine though.

I would say the reason you are dimming and then blowing a fuse is because you have some sort of problem. Once, while re-installing my Viper, the gay *** wire terminals got fugged up and the negative and pos were touching, instantly opening fuses. Also, if you are shorting the fuse could instantly blow. Check your wiring and make sure there is no exposed wire and there are no wires touching eachother.
