Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I just signed up in hopes for someone to help me out. I have a Diamond 300.4 and one of my fuses has actually melted into the amp. What can i do to remedy this? Will it hurt the amp if i get it out of there or should i leave it? it works fine still but looks like crap.

I will have a more formal introduction with picture of my setup and car but wanted to tackle this first.

Calling all electronic repair guru's!!!

Thanks for the help in advance. Happy Holidays.

Here are some pics (sorry for quality)

yea! then idk what to tell you send me some pics of the fuse sid so i can see what to do.

i think this happend when my main fuse under the hood melted. i have a couple fans back there but i dont think it was just heat alone. i was probaly getting low voltage or something.

so i can just take that side plate out and clean it all out. is it a pretty straight forward thing or can i risk screwing it up?

You might need to have that fuse holder replaced.

They're plastic, and if a plastic fuse melted in it, theres a good chance that holder is also melted.

I had this happen to both of my sundown 1500ds at different times. Iv talked to other guys that have had the same problem. I think Jacob puts cheap fuses in them from the factory because I changed them with the better ones from advance and they've never popped or melted since.

is that a generic piece or will i have to get it direct from Diamond? dealing with diamond is what i wanted to avoid haha

what bad or loose connection would cause this?
