what fuse holders have you been using? the direct input ones havent failed me yet you just have to torque them down well. ive actually started to prefer welding cable over car audio cable because the copper doesnt crush nearly as much and seems to hold much tighter for longer

i never considered that! i might have to try, at the moment im using something like these, i cant remember what mine are, some 4$ pair off amazon

AUDEW New ANL Fuse holder Distribution Fuse holder INLINE 0 4 8 GA Positive 300 AMP - - Amazon.com

you're not getting a good crimp on the ring terminals, i assume its falling out of the ring terminal then? or is it the actual screw breaking off? ive used those holders as well and they've lasted over a year. the crimps were well done though and the holders and wire are secured well with screws and tie downs

the less stress you put on the wire terminations the better

yeah mine pop out where the screw is, possibly over doing it? most of my ring terminals have come out good but thats because i bought this bug *** pair of crimp tools

so the screw pops out of the plastic? interesting. too much stress on the bolts then, switch to a different type of holder and make sure theres as little stress on that bolt as possible. switch to direct input blocks if you want although it may be a waste to cut off the ring terminals

its possible you're torquing it down too much and cracking the plastic but im pretty rough with them and havent had one break

no thats not whats happening, my bad, what happens is ill randomly pop the hood and more often than not, one of the wires is just dangling, not even in the holder. i didnt originally address that so my apologies

its dangling without the ring terminal, or its dangling as if the bolt came off and the ring terminal fell off the bolt?

no ring terminal in this scenario, the wire that leads into the fuse holder, held in by a small bolt

Just take out the fuse holder all together. That's what I did. I've had cheap ones and nice water proof KNU ones and they all heat up no matter what. They bottle neck the flow... When bumping the wire would be cool to the touch but the fuse holders would be hot. All connections tight.... Fuses are a waste if you ask me. Idk if it's because I'm running a lot of power but I just don't see the point to have thick 2/0 wire and then put some cheap gold plated fuse in there.

not using a fuse all together sounds terrifying to me!!!!! hahaha

It would be cheaper, it might be easier to find a place to mount it, and you would have a ton of options if you just do two, 3 slot fuse holders...

My bad, yes, I read them each as having two 4ohm coils. The JBL diagram left a bit to be desired, IMO. ;) And a double yes, thought U was talking...

I plan on getting the fuse to run as a front sub/midbass in my kick panels...I've heard they sound good but you definitely wont get mirror shaking...
