well im doing my big three and i want to fuse my alt to bat wire but i need a fuse holder and i dont have access to a credit card and all my car audio shops want to charge 40 bucks for just fuse holder i think that kinda bogus.does anyone know any stores like best buy only carrys 4 gage last i looked that carry 0/1 gage fuse holders.

usually they come with inserts that allow 4 gauge, might want to look again otherwise you could cheat and make a 1 gauge holder work just fold over the 4 guage and screw it down like that, im sure it'll be fat enough to fill up the hole.

I can't remember how much I paid for the Memphis holder I bought a few years ago from the local audio shop but its made to use ring terminals instead, can essentially accept any gauge or amount of wire. If you can't find any locally I could sell ya this one, its just laying around and I have no need for it anymore.

i guess i dident clarify i need 0/1 gage fuse holder all i can find is 4 gage.and i dont have a credit card or paypal so anything over the internet is kinda out of reach.i was just wondering if there were any other stores besides best buy or circuit city

there has to be some audio shops around your area or whatever. Head over the http://www.kicker.com or http://www.memphiscaraudio.com and see if there are any authorized dealers in your area. If there are some local I'm willing to bet they have instal gear and will have kicker fuse holders or memphis fuse holders respectively.

You could actually fab up one also if you would be willing. Something like this here...

Just get some nuts/bolts and washers and ring terminals and something non conductive like some mdf or whatever and then put a fuse between the 2 links of wire all connected via the nuts/bolts. Still gonna have to track done some ANL fuses though.

yeah i may try to fab one. the two audio shops in my area are good about fuses i can get thoes free if i just listen to him rant about how good his products are and i need to buy them.i got my 4 gage fuse holder from him for 45 witch i think is way to dam much but i was desperate and i needed some bass bad

dude, for 45 bux id break out the ANL fuse and bolts with some electrical tape. that guy needs a kick to teh balls for selling ANL holders for $45.

yea dang $45 is rediculous, I think I paid somewhere like $20-30 which I thought was too much but as you put it, "I needed some bass" and that was the price to pay.
