ok so im confused i have read some where on another forum that you dont need to fuse the wire to stock you need to do it to the limits of the power wire not the alt is this right.i just can figure out what size fuse to put on my truck for my big three

the fuse is there to protect the wire so fuse it according to the size of the wire

the fuse is there incase the wire comes off and grounds out and starts a fire i dont fuse mine i make sure i have good hook up points never had any problems

and if you fuse it it need too as big as the alt draw
