Fuse Help

Your looking at it backwards. Where you have the red lines should be your battery, and where you have the blue line & the empty slot is where you run output to your amps.

i have a question about the distribution block.
if i get this block

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_211FBXS20/StreetWires-FBXS20.html?tp=3001

it has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. will both fuses and wires work just from the 1 input?
lol, I hadn't even noticed that price. you'd have to be insane to pay a price like that. You'd be better off with the site I gave you earlier. You should be able to look at the pictures and figure out what one you need. All the ANL style fuse holders handle 0/1 and 4 ga wire.

so the other input on the top left doesnt matter?

give me some links to a distribution block that has 1/0 input and (2) 1/0 outputs or (1) 1/0 + (1) 4 output..

oh and if i would of gotten that block it would be $50 at another site..

thanks everyone for your help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here's a good one for cheap money. It's got two 4ga outputs, that should do just fine. You don't really need to run a 0/1 ga output from your dist block unless your amp has 0/1 inputs.

Dist block

And the one you are looking at only uses two inputs to make it easier for people running multiple dist blocks side by side without having to run multiple runs of power wire from the battery.

that has 4 or 8 gauge Outputs.. i need 1/0 gauge & 4 gauge outputs..

1/0 gauge for kicker amp & 4 gauge for alpine amp

yeah thats why im just going to use a non-fused dis block and in-line fuse both wires.

0/1 ga for a 1500 watt amp? What model amp are you running?
im getting a Kicker 08ZX1500.1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I checked it out and I'm surprised they say 1/0 ga for something as small as a 1500 watt amp, thats a little overkill for that amp. I've been running my RF 1600 watt amp with 4 ga for years and it's perfect for it. A good run of 0/1 ga wire from the front battery to the rear dist block and then 4ga to the sub amp will provide you plenty of power for that amp. You could use 0/1 ga for that too if you want to spend the extra money, but it's gonna be hard to find a dist block with a 0/1 ga output terminal. The length of the wire run from the dist block to the amp should be fairly short so 4ga would be fine for your install.

yeah i found one like $10 cheaper and i have some terminals..

thanks for your help with everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
