I was not saying they were still open. I was saying them make all. Buying used is the way to go great headunits, components and subs. Amps a/b are nice class d are not bad.

No competition just like things to be uniform, if this an unrealistic goal then I will just have to adjustments. I went in assuming I wasn't going to have a matching HU because most companies don't make everything. More concerned with amps, comps, and subs matching.

What people are saying is you could most likely get better stuff of you are willing to use different brands. Say brand A makes subs, amps and components and brand B only makes comps. The entry level comps from A are $100 and mid level is $300. Brand B has comps for $150 that are way better than the budget comps from brand A for only an extra 50. Why not get subs and amp from A and comps from B?

If you are looking for clarity I would say JBL or Infinity but it would have to be used to stay within your budget. I do agree the majority though split it up and get the best from the companies who specialize in certain items.

IA, and american bass come to mind. except for a HU ull have to go with a diff brand for that.

i have all american bass except my headunit and sub and i love it. i cant beat my front stage for the price.

I think Sundown is far from being anything like Kicker, I would worry more about DD and AQ- oh excuse me, sound qubed. Whoever came up with name should be kicked in the nads.
