Full review on Mach5SPL12 subwoofer

I dont even know where to start, but lets start with the SQ of this sub.

Before even break in, this sub suprised the shit out of me on SQ. surpassed all my goals. i went into this situation believing that this was an all out SPL sub, and the specs of the sub would make you assume it was. but it really surprised me. Fast, accurate to a very fine point, and loud.

The shipping it came in was immaculate in every way. not one dent on the box, but internally was a wooden crate that it traveled in. it only took 4 days from canada to get to IL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Now, I do not have a TL, but this thing was loud as shit. very loud, and it got low. The box I had it in was 2.5 cubes tuned to 36 hz, for a daily/SPL setup. SPL, if you will. I could also not believe how much this sub moved. I have videos of it, but one basically shows it the best, so i will post it as others are uploading.

I had a Cadence ZRS-10 if thats what it is even called. Its my friends amp. rated for 2500, but does more like 1800. this sub can handle 3k daily easily. (as long as you know what youre doing)

my electrical consisted of 4 Odyssey PC 2250s (as shown below) and a 300A iraggi alt. so sufficient was more than plenty and voltage never dropped below 14.2. this sub was begging for more power.

the sub got loud, it got low, and could easily take more power. in review, the sub is very well worth the money and more. heres a video to make everyone happy. who ever is debating getting this, let this review put your mind to rest. let me remind you 340 shipped. thats not plus shipping, which could be alot from canada. People buy these subs.

Very nice review and vid, so the Mach5 was on the Cadence in the vid? That thing was getting about half its recommended power and movin quite serious. Nice

yes it is a serious sub. it was on the cadence. i dont order my SAZ 3000Ds until the end of the month or so, here is another video, lil jon-throw it up-chopped and screwed.

Its funny you mention the sound quality part, others have said the same thing. I guess it could be referred as an LSQ sub (or SQL - whichever way you swing).

I too was surprised at the clarity the unit has when pushed hard. With 3kw on music it was LOUD and clear.

it is a shame its still under the radar. want to get 3k going to it soon, very soon and see this thing move. again, i mention it cause i was suprised about how good this thing sounded. i cant get over it. might be the best sounding 12 ive owned yet to date as well. this sub makes me want to stick to a single 12, cause it can get loud but also sounds good and not muddy when you need it to as well.
