mine doesnt work either, it just sits at the top above the full.

my grand prix does the same thing, one minute im at half a tank,the next ill have 3/4th its fuked up.

there is a kinda like a bobber type thing in your gas tank and well if you have that kind it will move around and your fuel guage guage arrow will go up and down when the car moves i have that kind also it sucks. you can replace it like i did not a small process to do but worth it in the end or there is also electronic one's those are just a b*Tch.

chevy tryed to get me to pay like 700 to replace something idk what it was they just told me that i would have to get my tank taken off and they would charge out the *** for labor and i was like na im good

yeah there probably talking bout the fuel guage bober in the tank i guarntee you if you go to a shop or read up u could do it by yourself just have something in hand and big bucket or something to dump your gas in.

i just track my miles, and watch for the orange lite to come on, lol. It broke from bass btw.

haha i had a feeling mine did too.. so your saying that my fuel light will still come on even tho my gas gauge doesnt show low

well amoffitt , you have to first disconnect your fuel lines running to the gas tank be very careful cause even though you have the car off battery dis connected there is still fuel sitting in those lines ones you have those off and out of the way then take off the gas tank there is usually two hold down straps underneath im not exatcly sure but i think usually 4 bolts take those out gas tank will drop after that u will see the top of the tank undo the screws off of that but make sure u have the tank stable on something like ground something that wont like the tank is on an angle or something like that for the fuel to tip out then once u do that take off that top i talked bout previously and u will see the part try replacing that.

on my intrigue, you can take out the fuel pump behind the seats and have access to the float. Its a gm, so might be similar on yours.

check under your carpet in your trunk, by the rear seats there should be an access door like 99olds said,.
