FU750 12 -18 Spec sheet & n box design?

I picked up a 60" 1 1/2" Dow rod and a jig saw. Gonna go look at batteries in the morning. Can't think of much else I need beside the H/O alternator but that's gonna have to wait a month or 2... I've very glad we spoke about wood before I bought from home Depot or even the MDF, I was trying to bend one of the sheets I got and I think it would have broke before bending, I don't have the words to explain how happy I am. I think it's gonna turn out really nice.

I appreciate you taking the time to help walk me though this Jeff, I know I am a bit difficult to help sometimes.

Also thank you too BoominTahoe, you both have helped a bunch.

Update:!!!!I found a pace that has 5'x5' Russian Birch 13 ply 3/4" sheets. $36 each.

I did my cut out mock up in a note book an I should be able to do it with 3 sheets with plenty of scrap left over for bracing.

Which leads to a new question, say I don't have enough scrap to finish with the bracing I wanna do. Could I just use some 1"X4" common wood to finish up the bracing or should I use something else. I have 1 5/8" and 2 1/2" deck screws I think will be sufficient or should I get some 3" also to help hold the double baffle down? 1.5" with a bit of a counter sink should give plenty enough but tho. I'm am thinking put a screw every 3" - 4" or is that over kill?
Thats real Baltic Birch ply 13 ply and it comes in 5'x 5' sheets and its really high quality and thats a dirt cheap price, usually around 60-70 bucks a piece for the highest grade (comes in 5 grades) nice stuff for sure.I have worked in carpentry and construction my whole life. I have used a lot of different plywood over the years and baltic is the best if your building fine furniture or nice speakers for in your home but differences are mostly for end finishing - like you want it stained it has less flaws. IMHO way overkill, I mean we are building speaker boxs and 90% are covered in carpet so It really dont matter. The 11 ply at home depot is fine and you will not know any difference period In fact I used HD pure bond and found it to be really totally free from any voids and cut nice and smooth and also used there triple sanded pine and it gets my vote, very good quality and 35 bucks a sheet and it will finish well too. Its in 4x8 sheets too 5' sheets to small for anything I have built. Also just for fun, OSB Oriented Strand Board is stronger than all of them. So if your excuse to spend more is for strength its not lol but osb ***** to cut and work with and its primarily made for roofing where its used in whole sheets pretty much but is really cheap 20-25 bucks a sheet. I was really wanting to see how FURGYS wall would have worked out but he tore it and three or four more down before testing so we will never know. I would like to play around with it and see how it does ? I am sure others have used it before

Unfortunately, the baltic birch I bought isn't a true 3/4". It's about .700"... .050 short of .75". Had the mfgr added 1 more veneer layer, it would be spot on 3/4". Kinda dissapointed tho...

As @ChaseinBass said, they come in 5x5 sheets....why who knows. Every other wood comes in 4x8 except that.

Machinists lol ! Wood is never the advertised size. Measure a 2x4 you will see its 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 is a nominal size it's actually 23/32 but close enough. Again it's just a box and with your bracing it will be stiff enough and like Jeffdachef said don't over complicate it. I have been tempted to use floor sheeting ply , its 1 1/8 and it actually is 1 1/8 don't ask me why ? But it tongue and groove so you would have to cut that off first and deal with all that and it's heavier too .

Yeah machinist...lmao! I was curious and knew ahead of time it wasn't really 3/4". But....I did measure my other wood that I built my 2 15's out of and it's closer to .750....got like .740

Just like 4x4 isn't really 4x4...it's more like 3.5"x 3.5" if memory serves me right.

I don't plan on carpeting te box. I love how wood looks. Have you stained birch before and what type if stain would you recommend?

I was wanting a darker reddish.

And he'll I almost couldn't get those 5'x5' sheets into my van, I ended up breaking a piece of the interior trim lol.

And I just measured it and it's a 11/16" thick so I can live with that.
