FU750 12 -18 Spec sheet & n box design?

I hope these images upload right. Ok here's what I have to ask.

The spec sheet says optimal vented enclosure 4-6cft per 18"

So in my design after port, sub n bracing displacement I'm at a little more than 12cft, that is what I should do to get the most from them correct?

Also the sheet states that the recommended tune for these subs are 29hrz-32hrz... Now so do I use my 32hrz design or my 35hrz design?

.

Also here is a pic a design I payed $2.25 for from this site, I had to mod its size a little to get what I wanted for cubic feet size which wasn't a whole lot, but they will be top firing center slot port. Is this a good box to start will until I can either have one professionally build or figure out a decent design if my own for good 4th order?

Also plan on getting this Boss BV9982I single din DVD head unit. It has really good reviews and I found Boss Company sold referbished site store that has the for $115 with a 1 year warranty w/ free repair/replace for malfunctions that I've decided to add in just because it's priced it's inexpensive and looks like a quality piece of gear for the cost...

Port area seems small. 9.38in per cf would be suitable for round ports.
In the original design is 48x27.5x20 with the port being 20"deep 6.25wide 18.5 tall giving it a 32hrz tune and probably doubling that number but it was only 10.2 cft., but I couldn't figure a way to bring the tune up with that internal port except for shortening how deep it goes from 20" to 11" after I expanded the volume by 4cft it went down to 20hrz tune with original port spec.. an I'm out of time for design I'm building a box tomorrow or Thursday one way or the other so figured I would try to get some input for you super smart ppl here

Get the xplicit audio app on your phone. It’s got a good box calc.

yeah man don't get any thing boss.. guy here making dual 15 fu box over 10 cf., 18's should get more, if u can fit 14cf be better..
I know Boss is supposed to sell junk... But I really like this head unit. I've seen a ton about it...

This guy hates on everything and even he says this is a wonderful piece of equipment at the price point... I'm not gonna get any decent name brand single din DVD for less than $250-400... And honestly it's not really gonna be for my entertainment, it'll just be for my nieces n nephews or whoever happens to be in my van. I plan on putting a 15.8" drop screen at tax time, at which point I will probably sell it and get something else.. I'm still not on that tho anyway. I just see alot of hate on some brands without and perseption that any of them infact do have a few decent pieces of gear in their lineups.

Anyway what ever anyone can tell me to help me figure out what I can do to make this box good I'm open for suggestions and ideas... All I know I I have 48"x36"x50" area for the box

Thanks for everyone's time,

Scotty O.

Not sure why your even fvcking on here. U ask for help and then you tell everyone your going to do whatever u want to do.

Your box designs svcks

That HU is junk

Go fail

Instead of their specs experience plays a huge roll. I just grabbed two 1250 15s and here's box I'll be using. I was iffy on anything but sundown but triple stack motor 25mm xmax and fs of 29 and the price I got them for I couldn't say no. For 18s like hertz said 7-9 all day. This is what a real box app does and helps

Boss is known for junk...and cheapness. Imma get someone in here that will tell you exactly the same thing. @Jeffdachef You got good equipment, but lack the branded HU....People don't understand that's the brain of the audio system and if you cheap out now, it's not gonna sound good on that Boss no matter what you do/how hard you try. Get yourself a good branded HU with tons of features. Many on the market for around 200 bucks, and it's well within your pricepoint.

Here's a MAJOR problem with this

single din Flip outs + bass = a fked up unit right when the lows hit. 2nd, boss head units overrate their pre-out voltage. Basically your gains on your amp will be maxed out and you still wont get full power out of your amp because the RCA pre-out voltage strength on boss head units are junk, especially that one. 2, when you actually do a mids and highs setup. It'll sound like complete garbage due to the poor low quality 16 bit dac used in the head unit which means without ANY modification, the sound is already way inferior. The head unit has ZERO audio tuning options, a 2 band EQ is gonna be absolute hell when you actually want good sound out of your mids and highs.

That basically is a head unit for a cheap guy running stock speakers not careing about anything else other than toys and features. For any one serious about bass or audio in general, thats one of the worst buys you'll ever make. Guaranteed that will last you 1 week at best once you have your subs up and running.

Please for the love of god, just give up the touch screen flip out idea and get a proper single din head unit instead. Your bass will be stronger, your mids and highs will sound like heaven on earth in a concert on your dash.

This is 80 dollars (includes ALL install accessories meaning dash kit and wiring harness) and it has ALL the audio features you can ever hope to want. 24 bit dac which is superior sound off the bat, 4 volt pre-outs, 13 band EQ, time alignment, NETWORK MODE so you can literally piece together loud midrange and tweeter for the cheap and it'll sound amazing and loud since you actually have the ability to tune properly. Updated bluetooth version as well which means better bluetooth sound too. Literally future proof head unit audiowise.

This is probably the only single din flipout i would even think about getting but still, anything subjected to bass pressure with mechanical moving parts is doomed to fail prematurely, especially if you plan on actually getting loud with those FU 750s. There has been many bass horror stories with loud people and flipouts failing on them.

Your other option is to do an android or IOS tablet(if you have any to spare or buy a cheap one on craigslist) head unit thats removeable etc.. Paired with a rockford DSR-1 8 channel dsp which costs 250. Literally put all your music on an SD card rather than CDs or stream music directly from the tablet with the phone as a mobile hotspot. All audio tuning control will be done on the tablet via bluetooth with the DSP application.

This is a run through of what the dsp can do audio wise, you are literally future proof for life.

Sorry to thread jack this about the head unit, but you seem really dead set on getting that boss even though the majority of all the car audio veterans on here are advising against it.

I'm just trying to let you know the exact reasons WHY its a bad idea to get that boss and steer you away from headaches and hassles that will come with buying that unit.

The head unit is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of your setup. If you have a mentally retarded brain in a good body, you'll still move and think like sh*t. Same thing with car audio head units. A bad head unit will utterly make the whole system bad and there's nothing you can do to help it other than a head unit swap. In the long run you'll waste more money buying a head unit to replace that boss compared to getting a proper head unit now.

All those reviews on line are from guys that never touched loud bass in their life nor do they understand what good sound quality is either. They are the same guys that get a pair of cheap boss subwoofers on an overrated boss amp and says that their setup blew out their windshield.
