Front Speaker Upgrade

Whats up. Im thinking about upgrading my two front speakers(alpine type s 5.25) with 2 higher quality coaxils. I dont think I want components because I dont want to spend all that money on Q-forms or whatever they are called. But anyway I was thinking about bridging my alpine MRP-F240 and getting 100x2 out of it to run whatver new speakers i get and run the two back speakers of my headunit. Is it possible to do this or do you reccomend it? Does the sound quality suffer from this or anything? Ok about the two new speakers I would get, they would have to be 5.25's im pretty sure and I would like to keep them around that 100 watt rms range that it would be getting from the bridged amp. I was thinkin about these, Boston Acoustics NX 57's . I would be willing to spend more $ though. Do you think upgrading the two fronts would make pretty serious sound quality upgrade than what I have?

Thanks

Of course upgrading will make your speakers a lot better! But honestly I would have to say Polk/Momo has nice 5.25 (Selling a Brand new pair for 75 if interested) But those Bostons...Never go wrong with Boston

Yes those are good speakers, for the same amount of $$$ also consider the aura mr52's I have. They are an AWSOME little set and run the exact same price "$150 shipped" Just type in aura via the search feature and you should fine tons of info. Only hitch is around 3" mounting depth.

you dont need kick panels if you get a convertable set of components. they will have better imaging in the long run, but you can install a set of comps in factory locations.

So I can still have components even if my SUV doesnt have a stock location for tweeters?

i think if the gain is set correctly they should be fine, also i jus did a quick search for braxials, there are also other brands than cdt who manufacture them

i think by convertable he means sumptin along this linehttp://www.cdtaudio.com/Braxial.htm

see how it is a comp set, but wif the bridge it places the tweet where a coax would (everything still seperate plus the x-overs)
true, but given the same series coaxial and the same series component system, the comps will always sound better. and even if you dont want to use convertables, you can still use comps by mounting the driver in the stock location and mounting the tweeter elsewhere, maybe the a-pillar or something.

this is true, but i was under the assumption that he didnt want 2 mount a tweeter, as he asked for coax's

How are these, CDT Braxials? Do you think they could take 100x2 pretty well since they r only 80 rms?
Keep in mind you can do that with ANY component set. Companies such as Boston Acoustics also offer that feature with their comp sets. And if they don't offer it, it isn't hard to do yourself with somelike like aluminum bar stock (home depot sells it)
