Front and Rear Kappas

I just want your opinion and this setup.....my front components are the infinity kappa 6.1 6.5'' and the rear coaxils are the Infinity kappa 693.7i 3 way and they are going to be running on the JL 300/4. Is this a clean set-up? Will the sound quality be great or bad? Is the amp powerful for these speakers or not?

If you have a decent quality head unit, Kappa's will be loud and clean. The tweeters tend to be a bit harsh, and not alot of mid bass, but non the less they should sound good. I used to run kappa's for front stage, I thought they were good, just not what I was really looking for. Mixed with a decent sub, you should be happy with them.

My headunit is a Sony XAV-A1 indash, and the 2nd unit is a pioneer DEH-7600...i dont need loud bass...just nice crisp sound..my bass will coming form my 12W6V2 running of a JL 500/1. How about the JL 300/4 amp for this set up will it be too much or too less?

You should be in business. Setup should sound very nice.

The Kappas will like power. Just pay attention to the tweeter as mentioned as they are fairly bright. There should be 2 tweeter level outputs on the crossover normal and -3db

I have the kappas now but moving to rainbow. The kappas are ok but only after I did major deadening of the doors did they produce any midbass - and it is still not much. Agree the tweeters are harsh you will need to drop the level. The amp should work nicely.

hey guys have kappa 3-ways coxial speakers all around ...6.5 fronts 6x9 rears.

alpine 9856 hu...and new alpine (70rms x4) is on the way.

is that a good set up?....im lookin for a expensive car sound....u know the sound from like a 60000$ bwm. clean highs and great midbass stuff

You'll need to amp them to get any superior sound out of em...Also, you might sound better than a bimmer with that setup but don't expect it to be amazing with comps all around

Will this be a problem...my perfect 6.1'S are 4 ohms and the kappa 693.7I coaxils are 2 ohms...is this going to be a problem hooking it up to the JL 300/4?
