friends system is actin stupid

my friends is system is actin wierd on him. he has 2 10" p1's running off a punch 250.2 and a few days ago his amp shut off on him. after looking at his amp and seeing nothing visibly wrong with the insides i told him to check his remote wire and of course it had somehow come undone. well after fixing the remote wire we put the amp back it and hooked everything up like it was. none of his nobs had been messed with during the process so everything should have sounded like it used to before. but for some reason the amp acts like its not puttin out enough power anymore. the only thing i could think of was that the amp got messed up somehow when the wire came undone but with my experience with frying amps ive always been able to see physical damage on the guts. so what you think is wrong with it.

Make sure the power and ground wires are in tight. If remote came undone those might have too

so turn the gain and bass boost all the way up...duh

all the wires are in tight we took the amp out an put it back in to check it and we tried turning the nobs all the way up but it just made farts.

tonight we took his amp out and put my punch 200.2 that i had sitting around in his truck and it was doing the same as with his amp. the subs aint blown all i can think of is his head unit has a problem or theres some sort of wiring problem we havent found yet.

check power/ground connections and check your fuseblock at the battery. it could be loose, or going bad.

we check that his power and ground are fine. im stumped. ive looked his truck over and cant find a reason for why its actin up.
