Friends looking for an old Alpine cassette head-unit (help!)

after having 3 head units stolen from his car he now uses an Alpine TDE but he wants to listen to his cds so i think we will have to sell this one and get a TDM or TDA that at least controls cd changers...

im in doubt between two models, both cost the same

- Alpine TDM-7531

or

- Alpine 7525

i couldnt find much information about the last one... all i know is that it has 2 pre-outs against 1 pre-out of the first one

which one would you pick?? which year is each one from??? which one has the best sound??

please help he wants to make the right decision heh

oh and btw, theres another one i found, is it good too? TDM-7544 is the model
