Friend wants new system, $500 budget, opinions???

Sundowns are very nice amps but very expensive............. and i Stay get him a viper 1200.1 and 2 10 inch type rs......... and a pioneer h/u run him bout $550

im gona double check with him tomorrow and double check his budget. He said AROUND $500, so im guessing its less than that.

2 single coil 4 ohm subs can be wired at 2 ohms right? if thats the case, im thinking two 12" DB-500's on a kenwood amp. Those DD's would be nice tho if he's got a little extra room with $$$ than he says he does

a pair of 12" type R's are great performes for a low price. they get plenty loud and sound clean as well. they dont really need much power to be loud either. i have built a system pushing them with 600wrms a piece and they are just extreamly loud. im sure 400wrms per sub will be enough to get them to wang as well.

i havent heard the tc sounds DB-500 but their products are solid enough to make the asumption that they will put out what they specify if not more.
