Oh guess I should have said I like spl more than sq. I would rather it be loud then necessarily nice sounding, bass wise.600 clean vs 1k dirty. I'll take 600 clean and underrated. That is Cadence's flagship line of sub amp. It's legit.
Get that 2nd JBL I posted. Really nice amp and does it's power @ 2ohms. You're all set.
I mean clean vs. dirty signal. Dirty = clipped. Clipped doesn't just sound like shit, it'll kill your sub too.Oh guess I should have said I like spl more than sq. I would rather it be loud then necessarily nice sounding, bass wise.
Most likely. I can't say for sure. It's a garbage amp that will do a burst of rated power. One f'n guy clamped it almost as a joke and everybody jumped on the bandwagon so fast it was laughable.Oh so that 1000w the ap was sending was clipped?
So I'm not the only one with problems like this? Did you see the pics on page 2? Any idea what happened? Like the side screws arced and fired them upMost likely. I can't say for sure. I CAN tell you for sure though that you weren't seeing 1,000w.
I saw the pics. But I can't say what happened. It 100% would not surprise me if it was some shoddy manufacturing though. To sell an amp that cheap, corners have to be cut and comprimises have to be made. In AP's case, it's cheap components and crap quality control. That's a double whammy of a shit sandwich. So I'm not the only one with problems like this? Did you see the pics on page 2? Any idea what happened? Like the side screws arced and fired them up
send it to me and I'll do t then....get an aq1200I'm not gna do that again, I'm just gna keep it and not bother returning it.. again.
I didn't realize audio was so complicated lol. This ***** man. I may post some more choices of amps lmk if anything Is btr than that brz I postedI saw the pics. But I can't say what happened. I'm not an amp engineer. I can name most of those components on the board and their function, but I can't look at gut pics of a burnt amp and tell you what happened. I do know that it is now garnage unless you can get them to take it back because the cost of the repairs would be more than the original price of the amp. beat it to death with a baseball bat/sledge hammer/ball peen and youtube that shit. Please.
What I do know is what amps get loud. What amps last. And what amps do both.
-Loud
-Reliable
-Cheap
Pick two.
I didn't fry my last like this one, but this one didn't fry when the connection was bad. We fixed the connection, made it good and that's when it sparked and smoked.realistically, a guy should be more concerned with selling to you, since you just smoked 2 amps in record time. as mentioned, i saw what happeded in your first post. if you wiggle a wire and it comes on, it absolutely needs to be fixed. the power section went absolutely nuts with the poor connection feedind it different amounts of power all over the place. that made it grenade, especially since it had several power-up cycles per second. honestly, you need to learn not to blow an amp. your dad should be able to help you wire. not much has changed in the past 30years in basic wiring. electrons still flow. poor connections are still a bad thing. however, an amp over 10x the size they would've been in the 80's, and the circutry is also 10x more complex, the attitude should be adjusted accordingly. that jbl is a real nice amp, but not really what i can see being right for you... you need something matched to your alternator, or at least the wiring, which means, don't go over 1k on the 4awg. a clipped signal can blow both the amp, and subs. this is because a clipped signal, by definition, is a portion of the sound wave signal clipped right off the top. the more clipping, the worse. so, the only resting/inverting periods of power are what's left close to neutral. you are not going to get any more output, and probably less, over 40% on one side of the wave, and all clipping does is hold the power on longer. this means, you pass more power, but are not getting the cooling movement, and impedance drops with the lower movement, again passing more current, and dropping the voltage. get the drift? clipping= more power drain+ less output+ more heat...
on another note- i'll give ya 40shipped for the thing.
vcr?the jbl is the better amp vs the cadence and i have never had problems with any amps on here. The lanzar is .5 ohm. Look at the manual. The jbl is you're vcr optioption. Buy it on here through paypal. I would do it. Jbl makes power houses i just sold mine to get a jbl gto2400
I wanna get the JBL but if there is a problem with my electrical (aka my ground being bad) and I blow that jbl, its all over. At least if I get one off of ebay, the store that I bought from will give me my money back for the return. The jbl is the better amp vs the cadence and I have never had problems with any amps on here.
