Fried my Audiopipe Apsm-1500 - Got a few questions

I'm sorry. I am not experienced enough to say. I don't know whats wrong, but I would have a pro look at it in person before investing in more equipment. Maybe someone on here is local to you. Maybe there is a local shop that has a 1/2 way decent reputation.

There's a place near me but seems like a po dunk non reputable place lol. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is so frustrating..

I may call audiopipe monday and see what they have to say. Also what they suggest for wiring it with my hdc3 sub.

Just to be clear, D1 stands for Dual 1 ohm sub, right?

Yeah, d1 = dual 1 ohm. The guy at AP is named David Thornton, fyi.

The lanzar opti are .5 stable. it puts out 1500 rmsa t .5 ohm, they run .5 ohm fine, are a much better amp compared to the audiopipe, korean made unlike the audiopipe with is Chinese. just real beasts of an amp

if you are willing to buy used their is an even better amp for 200 shipped on here

it will allow you to stay at 2 ohm and with imp rise you will still get over 1200rms at 4 ohm amazing amp, i personally have owned one and just sold it to buy a jbl gto24001

Op don't tell them you opened the amp though. That voids warranty. Say it's the second one you have recieved that has messed up.

I understand what your saying but the problem with the AP was not that I ran it too low of ohms that it could not handle it. I was running it at 2 ohms and its a 1 ohm stable @1500w. 2 ohms shouldn't be nearly so stressful to the point of it burning up and frying.

So idk why I'd need a .5 ohm stable when I'm not even getting to 1 ohms, I'm at 2 ohms

It just doesn't feel right. This is my fault I'm not gna make them pay for my mistakes, twice. Once was bad enough.

But I also am not buying another amp that isn't with them. Simply because I know they will take it back if it f's up again.

AP's fault for making a crappy amp. Your fault for buying it. Toss it in the garbage and tell your friends not to buy AP.

Can you look at the 3 amps in the post above and tell me if those are any good?

Do not get that Lanzar or the HiFi model HiFonics. If it HAS to be one of those 3, get the BRZ, but I wish you would spend another $50-100 and put some good power to such a bad *** sub.

Can you give me some good amps to look at that are 200$ and less? Good well made amps that put up as much power as that audiopipe did. That audiopipe was plenty of power for me and my car.
