LOL
i'm going to be putting a cd player and a set of component speakers into my friends 99 chevy s-10 pickup. it came from the factory with no stock stereo just a blank plastic panel where the headunit would be and grille's in the dash and doors but no speakers in them...I was just wondering if since there is no stock anything will there be a wiring harness for the new cd player and will there be wires in the doors/dash for the speakers or will I have to wire everything in from "scratch"? Anyone had an experience with this

I really doubt there would be speaker wiring all ready done. It is possible though, because chances are there is a wiring harness. I'm actually pretty sure that it would have a wiring harness. Running speaker wire is easy, but doing all you power and junk would be a pain. I guess only way to find out is to rip it all apart!

um since nobody really seemed to be sure about my question I figured I'd tell you all that there was a wiring harness in the dash even though there was no stock radio...there was also stock wires ran to the dash speakers and I'm sure there are stock wires run to the doors although we didn't get that far....
