Frequency Dial on Amp? And what's REM?

not cool

u were a noob too sometime...

Ull be fine with the tiny wire connected to the rcas. but yes they do splice easily it is true... but plz dont be an idiot and actually tear apart speaker wire to individually grab 1 wire... i will have to shoot u if u do.
WTF are you talking about?

I gave the kid sincere advice the entire time in this thread. Nothing more.

If you have a length of speaker wire, that is two wires... you cut it in the middle... and pull the pair of insulated wires apart.

Fucking numbskull.

Thanks for the help people, sorry if I sound all noobish but this is my first time doing any of this kind of stuff :p

I was routing the 2 RCA cables today (it's okay if I have 2 RCA cables routed right next to each to each other right? I read you should route them opposite of the power wire... just making sure)...

and I found out that knukonceptz shafted me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif The RCA cables aren't long enough, 5m, and I need about another meter to reach behind the headunit.

Do car audio places sell any sort of RCA extenders? What kind of "extender" should I get so I won't lose quality over my knukoncept RCAs?

Jesus, what vehicle do you have?

What you need is a pair of DoubleFemale RCA Couplers. And Whatever length extension RCA's...

a stretch limo.

A Nissan 300zx, not big at all. Which I find weird... but I am routing it agaisnt the driverside walls of the car to keep things clean. The RCAs got to the pedals and ran out

Am I doing something wrong? I can see you have a Jeep Cherokee which is like triple the size of my car... I'm going from the very back of the trunk to the front by the side. I even cut a few angles to give the RCA more length, but there's no way it will go up the dashboard and reach

Yay going down the center console did the trick, thanks dudes.

also just wondering.... the back of my head unit has a black Ground cable, but my wiring harness adapter doesnt have a black cable... I'm not sure where to attach this one to.

I already have a ground wire set up to screw into the back of the headunit, what should I do with this other ground wire?

NEXT! For the REM cable, I just took a speaker wire and split it like nG said, howcome theothermike was saying this is bad? :?

yo if you havent found a way to get a rem wire yet

i had to splice into my wires anyway cause i wanted to kee the stock hu that didnt have rca outs... so i just spliced into one of the speaker + and used that as a 12+ ...its a constant 12 volt .. th only thing that changes is the amps comming out

worked fine for 2 years.. and still goin strong baby!

thanks, but I just split a speaker wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Some bad news is, After I finished soldering yesterday I looked at a diagram of all the colors and functionality the Stock harness is suppose to be, and my Aftermarket harness doesn't match up AT ALL. Like the first wire on the upper left is suppose to be Ignition, but on the harness it's Front left Speaker... crap has this ever happened to anyone before?
