sue me, its a ford.
So last night about 3am im all passed out and then BAM a huge thud and my walls shake. Sounded like a tree fell on my house. And it was no explosion it came from within the house. Im thinking a support snapped or something? I've been in the attic all morning looking. This has me stumped... Any ideas?

Maybe it was all in your dreams man. If there ain't no cracks in the walls and everything works as it should don't sweat it. For all you know some ritz crackers could've been outside settin' off half sticks.

Nah others heard it too, it was real
Call an inspector bro. That is, if they even have such a thing out there in po-dunk redneckville.
Better yet call up @05fronty . He specializes in filling cracks with big strong wood.

Funny, lately my roomate has been saying the same thing. He lives upstairs though and he said he has heard some really loud bang/thump on the ceiling. But there is no attic, just straight roof

If the temperature changes drastically quickly it can cause thing to flex/adjust whathaveyou.

Also, not sure how close you are to the New Madrid Fault Line but that could cause some funky stuff.

I'm in Iowa, and no joke, I was hearing things last night - around midnight. It was almost exactly what you described, but it almost sounded like it was a few houses away. Like somebody threw a grenade at the neighbor's house or something, it was freaking me out.

I have family and friends from Arkansas and there have been a lot of earthquakes lately. A really good 4.0 around Greers Ferry Lake not too long ago. I think they are trying to blame it on gas fracking. Most of them are between Conway and Heber Springs. If you are around that area, you probably got a quake Bro.
