So...i decided to build my first box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

The box will be in the extened cab of my 1999 Dodge Dakota RT. "Willing to remove back seat"

The subs im planning on using are 4 12inch type r's. [swr 1242d] Ported box of course.

I dont really know much about building boxes, thats why im here... so can i have a list of materials that ill need to get this job done..right! "haha"

Tips would be great, alot of tips. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The cutting and sh!t shouldnt be a problem, seems really d@amn easy but measurements!!! i dont know where to begin with em. i know certant subs need a certant cubic ft. with the box having 4 subs in it i dont know how to figure it out. i cant use website caculators, thats why im asking for someone to do it for me..i feel like a piece of sh!t asking all this.

Yes, im a noob when it comes to boxes... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

So to sum it alllll up, could someone caulculate the dimensions of a rectanglura ported sub box thatll hold 4 12inch alpine type r's SWR-1242D then list the materials needed for the project. I need a guideline

Thanks:)

Thanks for the help but i was leaning more towards on something like this..

where is the box building tut?

Box width-

Box height-

Box top and bottom depth-

square port width-

square port length-

material thickness will be-

unless someone knows the dimentions of the vehicle noone is gonna be able to say what u need it to be. you need to get a tape measure and do it your self then someone can use the dimaentions and design a box plan.

Max space!

From one wall to the other wall is 4ft 6 n half inches

From the ground and up to my window is 2ft 3inches

From the back wall to the back of the seat is 1ft 6inches

Well, you have about 12.5cu.ft to work with before port and sub displacement. 10cu.ft is very doable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
