For those with a remote bass knob

and that there my friend is how to gain an amp. and mokedaddy hook an o-scope to your amp and turn your bassknob up and see what happens //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

And what do you know? At the highest level it reads exactly as how I set my gain.

Interesting concept I know, but seriously you should try it.

i don't care what you call it dumb shit, just don't use it!!! if you need to you bought something you should not have. get the amp that powers your subs instead of trying for that last little inch out of your amp.

R u serious? They have there place like anything else. Who the hell wants to listen to 4kw all the time on all kinds of music?

no matter how you look at it its better to have your clean power off the gain rather then use the bass boost, anyone with common sense can tell you that

no its not dude, you add clipping by pushing the amp like that . by having the amp at 30% gain and set right you get true watts, i bet you money he is getting 75% of his rated power when if he just did the big three and got a amp that overpowered the subs slightly he would notice a HUGE difference in sound quality( efficiency is what you want out of you amp_

That is what the us amps have. I am sure a lot of people dont know the difference so they just call it a bass knob.
In the manual for the amp it said it was for the gain when on the amp it had a 0-18 db SWITCH for Bass Boost, u hit that and bam theres your clipping after u set ur gain.
