Do you notice a gain in bass from halfway to full?? Because I dont.

From minimum to halfway I can turn my bass almost off to normal. But from normal to maximum there is no difference.

Is this normal for all amps or just my situation and how can i rectify it?

amp is us amp md2d btw

o really?? so in reality, the knob control bass only halfway to minimum.

then whats the point of being able to go a full circle if not all of it is used?

I like using the remote because I have instant control of bass.

HU , i have to go to the option set it up, exit, wheras the gain knob is much quicker. And theoretically if you can only go as high as the amp gain is set, then the max gain on the remote=max gain on amp. This means the output should be the same when the knob is maxed or when its not connected at all.

Also I find that statement untrue. I had an arc amp and when I maxxed out the knob I know it was playing louder than if my knob wasnt connected.

with my rf 400.2 if i have the remote thing that comes with it, and gain on minimum without it plugged in, the amp puts out very little power, like at vol 18 of 26 with EQ Flat, 1.0 volts, had to have the gain at 3/4 close to max to get the birthsheet power and i also had that annoying hiss and engine noise in the speakers that i didnt' like, then i plug in the remote to the amp and wow, big difference, hu amp clipped at volume 11 instead of volume 19 without the remote in, i was like hmm interesting, set amp on hpf, put the punch EQ option on max, turned knob on remote all the way up, i just left the amp on minimum gain cuz it read on the dmm 19.3 volts with a 1 khz tone and that was plenty for my speakers, if i turned it up to it's birthsheet power of 144 watts at 4 ohms so 24 volts... i still got that whine sound in the speakers with music playing, with gain on minimum, clean sound, with that Punch EQ option it makes the treble sound so much better and brighter yet i still get that engine whine noise so im thinkin of a new hu and sheilded rca cables. sick of pioneer hu's and it's whine issues:mad:
