As bad as this sounds I can drive stick while talking on the phone, smoking a cigarette, and drinking a pop. If I saw a chick doing that I'd snap but I can pull it off.

I learned how to drive with a stick so even heavy traffic doesn't bother me much. I have much more fun in ANY vehicle if it's a standard. Automatics are boring as hell.

After doing it every day for a while you won't even notice shifting.

I just think driving an RSX automatic would bore me to death.

The only way i can drive my moms car (slk 350) is in the trip tronic mode, auto is too **** boring.

Exactly. Like most people, after a while you'll forget you're even driving a stick. Everything will just come naturally. Manual all the way, don't bother getting an auto specially with that sort of car. I am still kicking myself for not holding out to get a manual in my truck. Auto will put you to sleep, and you are soo much more in tune with your vehicle with a manual.

For those that say traffic sucks more with a manual than with an auto, yea to some degree slightly, but its not that bad. Just put it in 1st or even 2nd depending on the traffic and idle along, look at the big trucks. No sense in being like half the other retards out there trying to hump the car in front of them.

My new civic is my first car to ever be a standard. It's soooooooo much fun though. but man, anyone in the CT can tell you I b1tched so much about how it sucked learning to drive one. With that said though, it's so much fun once you learn how to drive one. I wouldn't change my decision for anything. My car may only have 140hp but it sure does feel quick since I can control when my gears shift. Yes it does **** with heavy traffic and hills but that's just part of it! Eventually you will get to where you don't even think about it. that was my problem, I thought about it to much so I messed up a lot. Just relax and it'll come.

I did the same thing man!!! I turned my stereo off wouldn't answer my phone or anything! Now I just do it by feel. That's seriously how you should learn is by feel. Learning from listening is the wrong way to go about it. You should feel it.
