For those of you who drive stick...

I'm contemplating buying my first stick shift this time around (Acura CL-s, or an RSX- S)

I've driven stick shifts before, but not on a regular basis.

How is it? Annoying in traffic? More fun? I just feel like driving an automatic CAR could potentially get boring.

def get the stick but if your in traffic might be a hassle at times. It def is more fun than automatic and you have more control over the car than auto

it depends really. In trafic you can usualy leave it in 2nd or 3rd and be fine 5th on the highway. Plus its fun when your playing around.

I don't even notice that im shifting when Im stuck in traffic lets say in LA.

If all you need is a commuter then I would advise an auto. If you ever think you can have fun with the car then I really recommend stick shift.

Do it! Not enough people drive stick these days. Just try not to get in the bad habit of riding the clutch too much, you'll burn out clutches fast.

It becomes 2nd nature and you don't even give it a second thought. You will appreciate an automatic ***** after driving a stick for awhile though.

thats what makes me think about getting a tiptronic/sportstronic

i got a stick and live in NJ

it doesnt **** in traffic anymore than an automatic imo... and alot more fun to drive in general

traffic sucks period. stick or not..

Very true. You definitely have way more control over the powerband with a manual transmission.

Autos are far too boring.

i can imagine u know what your talking about, but do you ever get tired of driving that stick around the entire us? as in everywhere?

stick in traffic isnt bad like most ppl say it is. and hell yeah stick is more fun then auto.

bad thing for me when i drove stick i would catch traffic going home and on the way there is a really big hill and bumper to bumper going up that sucks.
