First Time Building a Box

yeah about an eigth inch. I should have used a straight edge to cut against. I was rushin so I just free handed it with a circular saw.
take your time and use a guide edge always...unless you have a flush trim bit and a router. Then you can freehand the pieces a little big and trim it flush

looks about like my first box. i agree with the ninja's. take your time. if you use a circular saw, line up a strait edge to cut along. i did that with my last box and it came out perfect.

Back in the good old days when I didn't have access to a table saw, I used a straight piece of 1/2 inch plywood, measuring tape, and c-clamps to make my cuts. The best boxes were built right before I entered college because I worked for a company that built portable offshore quarters, and they let me use the huge radial arm saw after work or during breaks. If only more people would have been using fiberglass in 1991, I could have made some wicked enclosures!

Back to the topic at hand, my first box ever looked about like yours. I removed all my drywall screws from it and set it on fire when I rebuilt it.

Now, I am so lazy, I just pay someone else to build me an enclosure...

That's a good box for your first time;) you did make a good choice in going with mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I have saw alot of people use cheap azz wood.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah.. It just sucks when you sink 100$ into a box that isn't exactly what you want //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
