First time box design - opinions?

not everyone likes low notes. 40hz is completely acceptable to people listening mainly to metal and other rock genres. 35hz and under tuning is just plain garbage for those types of music genres especially with low cone area. what good is it to peak in the 30s when all your bass notes in your music are in the upper 40s to 50s which is where your bass response starts dying out horribly being tuned to low 30s.
When I play some Metallica, it sounds fine.

uh huh. bigger cone area you get a lil output. do that with an 8 and you'll feel nothing.
Also your fine would probably = my anemic

Try this. If each note isnt piercing though your chest and collapsing your lungs, you arent up to par.

I shall get back at ya when I build my t-line enclosure for my m3 8 and let ya know.

Oh I get it. You want bone crushing bass......some people just want bass. Not everyone wants what you want.

no try it with your X15s. See if they can play 65 to 71hz kick drums cleanly and loud in your 30hz tuned box or fall on its face hahahahaa

T lines will play it easily No doubt about that. But your X 15s in question are suspect to fail horribly.

My hdc3 18s played this perfectly btw.

Well no ****. They aren't made to play part-midbass.

you just never experimented. Smaller box higher tuning, more power with standard surround i'm pretty sure they can easily play it and ALL your lows easily.
Well got no extra $$ to be doing that. No overtime, work is slow.

Since your talking to me, where would you suggest I mount my tweeters in my s10 doors? I got 6.5" speaker stock location but no tweeter location.

dash or a pillar or sail panels. Take pics of those. And your door as well. PM me so we dont clutter his thread any further lol.

No! No sorrys! I'm getting a lot of good information out of this. So this might make it easier. This is the song I usually use to test out my car stereo:

So if that will sound better tuned to 40 then that's perfect. Nothing I listen to really goes lower than that, or rarely.

Ok just to complicate things, I just bought a second matching sub so now I have to redesign the box. Should I have to two drivers share the same space or treat it like two boxes sharing 1 side?
