first system, thoughts?

As of Tuesday this week I will have 4 gage running to a 1000 watt 170 rms x4 ohm Kenwood amp powering 2 fosgate p2 12". Subs will be in homemade enclosed box. It's just a first system but just curious on some thoughts.

Not my choice of equipment but if you got a good deal on it then sure lol. I would highly suggest contacting RAM_Designs on here to have him design a custom ported box for you.

Well idk its the kac 7205 model it was 123 bucks being the main reason i got it, however it is listed everywhere as a 2 channel but i suppose the information could be wrong... If it is imma be pissed!!

The kac 7205 is a 2-channel amplifier rated at 170watts x 2 @ 4ohms, and 500 x 1 bridged to 4ohms (so 250x2 @ 2ohms).

youve never seen anyone bridge down a 4channel to run 2 subs?? obviously not ideal but people do it.... i had my 300/4 runin my 2 12w1s for a couple weeks when i was waiting for a new amp. And ya OP everyones gonna tell you its junk because they all have better stuff and have been around.... everyone seems to act like there first setup was top notch. And if was to them then congrats. Its not good stuff, but **** when i put my first stereo in 15 years ago it was crap lol.

Well, depends if youre looking for loud or SQ. If you want loud you couldve got an AP1500 and a TXX-Bf15 for the same price. Thats 1500+RMS AND a nasty sub with a triple stack 4" coil motor assembly. Then you still have 20$ left for wiring or whatever, lol.
