First System. Suggestions, Input, and Criticism

id run 4 gauge, not 0...

ref.. 4 gauge "Power Kit up to 1400 Watts"http://stingerelectronics.com/prodDetail.asp?strID=377

This will be my first system. I am hesitant to order everything until I'm positive that my choices are the best for me. I'm on a tight budget, I want the sub and amp to be around $500 or less. Right now, I'm planning on getting this:1 15" Fi SSD Dual 1ohm

1 Kicker ZX750.1 Amplifier

KnuKonceptz Complete 4 gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

I will build the box. 3.5 cu ft @ 33hz

Plans:

I drive a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lmtd w/ the Infinity Gold.

Any suggestions, input, or criticism?
nice site dude .... any other site same as http://www.subwoofertools.com

For once I agree with ///M5. Just get a decent 2-channel amp and a nice set of comps for the front. If you must have rear speakers, just leave the rears stock and run them off of the HU.

Whats a good 2 channel amp? I need something around 75w RMS x2 @ 4ohm. Is Power Acoustik a good brand. I noticed they had lots of 2 channel amps for cheap prices.

I think I'm going to get the JL Audio XR650 CSi components.

It'd be 150 to each. All you have to do is turn your gains down some. It's actually better to have a larger amp than you need because it gives you more headroom, and doesn't push the amp as much to reach the levels you need. The amp will run cooler, and will last longer because of it.

So with the Sub, Amp, Box, and then amp wiring kit, and speaker wire I should have everything I need to get it started right? Should I pick up one of those speaker terminals to put on the box for wiring?
For the box, I heard the sub should be facing up and the port to the back.

Someone told me that because I have a Jeep GC Limited with the Infinity that the installation would be harder and more complicated, is that true? I think I'm going to see how much it costs to get it professionally installed and see of its worth it.

you will have to try the sub/box different ways in the car. Every car is different....some sound better facing forward, some rearward. Maybe post the kind of car you have, and luckily someone will have the same and give you some pointers.

Ok, ordering Sub tonight or sometime this week. One more time around so I feel positive that everything is good to go.

15" Fi SSD (Dual 1ohm)

Kicker ZX750.1 (750 x 1 @ 2ohm)

4 gauge kit (I don't plan on competing, so upgrading to more power is unlikely)

Speaker wire (What gauge? And how many feet?)

Subwoofer terminal cup (for box)

Building box, 3.5@33hz

Anything I'm missing?

Once this is done I'll upgrade the front to JL XR650 CSi and a 2chan amp.

Then a new HU, either a new Pioneer with USB or Alpine.
