an mtx dual 10 inch loaded box MTX MB210SP,subs, and amp ,Clarion SRG1622R 6.5 2 way speakers x 2 ,Clarion CZ202 shipped all new plus paypal fees
Is that setup going to offer anything better than the one quackhead suggested? If so, I'm definitely interested. Are you actually selling or just suggesting?

my set up is all new not old stock or discontinued.also the amp is too much for the 1 sub .you'll get 2 subs with mine ,if you wanna spend another $40 i can replace the frt speakers with components too.he's only giving you the frts only with that set up.still is decent too . i can give that set up too for $10 less if you like .

the deck is last years model so at a close out price, same with the amp .sub only takes 200 rms and the amp puts out 380 rms bridged .so if your not careful you'll blow the sub pretty easy .the comps take alot of power ,so i think you'll drown out the sub with the speakers .

I'll PM you sometime soon (probably tomorrow) about those setups. Also, my stock speakers are 6-3/4"; not sure if that matters

Who cares if it is old stock....do you really think that this guy needs brand new 2012/2013 stuff? If it is new old stock and he can get a deal on it....take it. Chances are you get a better product a year old and still new than the current years offerings.

Definitely going to consider this setup. Thanks a lot.
Would it be too difficult/risky for me to install everything myself? Should I just get it done professionally?
As far as difficulty, not much to it. It is easy to ask questions here and get results. You can buy the peripheral equipment online too and save a ton over a professional install...a few of these guys have accomplished more from trial and error than most professional installers. You would easily spend another $300-$400 in labor alone for just a simple drop-in install. You could start out using the Clarion built in x-over and run a set of RCa's from the HU front to the amp ch 1&2, setting the amp x-over to full range( depending on what options the HU x-over offers). The sub out RCA's will go to amp ch 3&4. You would bridge ch 3&4 to run the sub at 4ohms.

A couple of off the top rules:

Disconnect the ground (-) from your battery when working on/installing any wiring.

In the following amp wiring kit, there is a fuse holder and 80amp fuse. Install this within a foot of the battery on the positive(+) cable.

Use a rubber grommet, or find one on the firewall you can use to protect the power wire from accidental shorting where it enters the cabin.

It is common practice to run the power wire down the drivers side of the car and the RCA's from the HU down the passenger side.

plus many more

extra set of RCA's - Monster Cable ILJRC-5M (mon-130997-00) 5 meters, 16.4' 2-Channel

there are other and better vids out there....do your homework and then decide if you are capable... and good luck in whichever way you choose..

sonic warrants the deck for a year and PPI warrants the amp & comps for a year...The sub is a bit underrated and ATC fused to prevent any damage IF it were to see full power, which I doubt it will, as you should well know(and it is warranted too for a year)...the box is built to spec and tuned low enough with enough port area to actually sound pretty good and get low doing it and I would take low end Boston over low end MTX any day.....The comps wont take any more power than you give them and properly tuned this system will have the ability to get decent volume and actually sound good doing it...

Why do I feel like I have to defend something I merely suggested??...and why did you attempt to discredit that?? I don't care what OP buys or dosen't buy because I make nothing from the deal, I am only trying to help someone who needed advice, and I will try to give the best advice possible.

BUT since you seem to want to go there, What amp did you include in that pkg?...and why some $25 coaxes? 2 10's on 125 w ea?? http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_31068_MTX_MB210SP.aspx?gclid=CLqysZjNjrICFadNTAodOBIA6A

....geez bro, wtf?

MTX Magnum Magna bass 250 watt amp and a set of 10" Magnum? subs. 2-10's on 125 watts ea...and probably overrated at that...never even heard of the stuff and you could probably get better bass from a better 12" sub in a properly tuned enclosure on a solid 300+ watts.

MTX MB210SP Dual 10" Loaded Vented Subwoofer Enclosure with

6.5" coaxes - I would wait until I found some decent components that handle decent power. Start with a decent set of comps up front and either use the factory rear speakers off the HU , or pull them to allow more bass output from the trunk. I'd prolly use 6 1/2" in the front doors since there are many more to choose from in that size.

Clarion SRG1622R 6-1/2" 2-Way GOOD Coaxial Car Speakers

Clarion CZ202 - only 2 sets of 2 volt pre-outs, no room for improvement. I would look at a couple of models up with better features and much more flexibility with higher RCA pre-amp voltage.

How about you give me your address and send me $425 paypal and I will have Sonic deliver the above linked equipment with full warrantee for $340 and i'll just pocket $85....lol
