System in question is in my signature block. It is already installed.
The K2Ps are in the front doors, with tweets up on pillars.
The K2Ps are on mdf board connected to door cards, rather stable, but not perfect.
The initial install was hasty and limited financially.
I am on student exchange right now, and considering what I will do when I get back.
I am planning on soundproofing the vehicle and fiberglassing the speakerpods on the front doors to beef them up a bit.
I have read a lot about EQs and properly tuning the vehicle. This is now also on my list of things to do. What EQs do you suggest? Why?
The sub has got to go, it is an old rockford pile o' speaker. I want to replace it with a shiva, a jl, or a type r. Which, and why? I would like to keep my existing amp, it is great and fits where I have space, which sub would sound better off of 200w at 4 ohms? I plan on building a sealed box and mounting it against the ski passthrough in the trunk, and leaving the armrest cushion down so the sub will basically be in the cabin.
Should I keep the Focal 6x9s in the rear deck for fill? They are low and only for fill, or, should I bridge the amp channels and hit the K2Ps with 100w, right now they are running on 50w. They seem fine, although I can't wait to hear them after a decent soundproofing.
Also, the vehicle in question is an early nineties Audi sedan (before all the factory soundproofing stuff).
