Yea it is fine just to glue the box. I put screws in also just to take precautions but you don't have to. Just use clamps so the glue dries. And the reason the box started coming apart was prolly because it had no bracing in it at all. I didn't put any bracing in my box but my box is not flexing at all, but i guess i will see when i turn the gains up and really get those things moving. This was my first box build so i'm not too experienced in it yet but i'm having a feeling i'm going to get alot better because now that my friends saw the box i built they want me to build them boxes because i told them don't buy prefab boxes. So its fine to just glue the box? Bought 4 12s and box from a forum member and it was fine with the 1200 watts they was only rated to take, after I gave them the 3600 the box started coming apart an making a god awful sound from the pieces hitting each other. Maybe he just didnt use enough. There were no screws at all.
Thanks. It is nice. The 8's are real nice so far. Definitely don't sound like 8's. Already had a few people think i had some 12's or 15's lol And i was just like no i got 8's.Looks nice! I want to install soem 8's sooo bad!
Yes its loud, but not near as loud as it will be. Gains are set low right not to get them broken in and i didn't have a dmm on me. And also i cant turn it up loud at the moment because my headunit skips the cd. Anyone know of something i can do to stop this? Need some help because its making me mad i can't turn it up.is it as loud as it looks?
