Looks like you have some pretty good computer skills. If I were you, I would look into the Google SketchUp program. You can put dimensions like that into it and have a 3D image.

 
Cancel all that I can only have it 15" high... to fit in my boot.

I did, but forgot to consider the thickness of the MDF.

Just one question for anyone that knows about this stuff:

What sort of and how much sound absorbing material would I use on the insides of this?
