Finishing up an install just a question or two

About midweek I should be finishing up the install for the system in my sig, I want to reset my gains though. I will be using a DMM.

For the subs I am going to use a 50hz test tone. What should I use on the components though, the same 50hz tone or something higher?

ppl say use 1khz test tones when setting gains but i did some testing and at 20hz and 20khz my amp at least, usually put out within .2 of the same voltage so i dont think it really matters

I just set mine by ear, it's pretty easy. Just turn the gain all the way down, turn HU volume up about 75% and you should hear some music now. Then just turn the gain up til you think it's enough.
