Finding long lost car?

thats a pretty good deal for him and his buddy...500 extra bucks to spend on another car or mods and 600 for him...i know if i was in his position seeing that it meant that much to you as long as it was ok with my other buyer i would def. sell it to you

Well I called him. Tried to meet with him and the other interested party. The other guy lives out of town so a meet wasnt possible, so I shot him my offer. $600over his asking price for him and $500 cash for the other guy or he could take $1100 over his asking price if he wanted to take the heat from the other guy.

Again he was very quiet. He seems very nice and I do believe he understands where I am coming from. He seems very concerned but told me that he has promised it to the other guy.

He said he would see what he could do and call me back tommorow. So another day of pacing around my house with no sleep.

I have to respect the dude though he keeps his word. If somebody would have offered me another 1100 on top of my asking price I would call the other dude and say are you going to give x amount for my car and if he even hesitated I would sell. He is a better man than I.

Oh, and if you need any help drop me a line man.
Hey long time no see.

Its a dude in Topeka. He seems real cool only he already promised it to someone else.

Ive done everything I possibly can up to this point but I appreciate the offer. I will probably need some help with an install if I get it though. Ill be in touch for sure if you got time.

Be more than willing to help:D

FYI - finding the car probably wasn't all that difficult.

Any old registration info would include the VIN. If the car was still owned by someone, the VIN could be used to trace it, probably through the DMV network.

Good luck on the purchase, this really is a cool thing that you're trying to do.

Best of luck man.I think that's really cool what you're trying to do, and you found it.

One of the reasons I have problems getting rid of vehicles is because of sentimental values it holds.

Wrong it was difficult!

Yeah your right once we found the VIN it was a lot easier but not that easy. When you do title check or carfaxes none of the personal information is displayed it only tells you when and where the car was sold or re registered.

Finding the VIN was the hardest. I had never owned the car myself the original owner is dead and his mom threw everything away when he died.

Im sure what we did was borderline illegal to get this information with the new privacy acts passed 1994. The DMV only releases under certain guidelines and they are pretty strict.
