Well when it comes down to it, the Goliath has a good bit more heatsink per board than the Maxximus for those transistors to transfer heat into. Also, the fact that you have one board ontop of another meaning that the top board will naturally be hotter than the bottom if mounted conventionally. We all know how very seldom amps are mounted as they were designed to be. That's why JL made their heatsinks on the slash series the way they did. Aside from that, I personally don't know anyone running around with a Maxximus running at full-tilt in a daily driver system.
