fiberglass vs. bandpass

i have a dual bandpass box which can be seen here http://www.millionbuy.com/hbxdc12.html

however, i dont like the store bought non-original look that it has. i want to build a custom fiberglass enclosure for my two 12's. i just want to know what sounds better. fiberglass or bandpass. is there even any sound difference?

fiberglass can be used to make all types of enclosures, but if you are talking about the difference between a sealed box made of fiberglass and your current box then thats a different story. The bandpass box will create bigger spl numbers over a limited range, but any sealed box, including the one you will be building, will yeild a smoother response and create better sound quality. Now it may be tough to make out of fiberglass, but a ported enclosure will have higher spl numbers than a sealed box and will retain more sound quality than a bandpass box.

What kind of 12's ? Box type depends alot on the subs themselves. Like said before fiberglass is a building material not a style of box.
