fiberglass box *pics*

it ain't letting me make a new thread so ...............
my boss is having me find an amp for his son.it is gonna power 2 re8's.

going in this box...he wants something from best buy or a local audio shop, but if there is something from an online store, i could probably talk him into it. NO EBAY! someone help me, he wants to get a sony amp, so it'll match his h/u. so post up some good amps around the 500w range. trying to stay in the $100-200 price range. thanks!!!
the RE8s are DVC4 right? if so, look for an amp that puts out 350w-400w rms at 4 or 1 ohms, should not be hard to find, look into Profile for cheap

i got it cleaned up today at work....now for the filler

painting it red to match the truck. i don't know if i would of went red, cause his whole interior is light grey...but it's not my box. what ever its still gonna look d@mn good!

all right guys, i gotta problem...i filled it with water tonite to get the volume. its .93ft^3 by the way. anyway its got a couple of small pinhole leaks in it on the top edge. i guess i got carried away with the die grinder. so what should i do? can i just mix up some resin and pour it inside?

yea, mix the resin with some sort of thickner - sawdust should work good... or you can waste, i mean use bodyfuiller\resin mix so its not such a liquid, but not a paste. you might wanna put a single layer of glass (weave if you got it) on the INSIDE of the box first... maybe a piece of old Tshirt soaked in resin maybe.

but yea, just seal it from the inside.

Speaking of watching your eyes.. safety glasses sometimes do NOT work. In my boss's case, dude got a little catalyst splashed on his eyebrow, it melted off his hair where it landed. (we use the good stuff though, Smith Fibercast) and he still has a pink scarry-looking spot thats all smooth. So yea.. I recommend the kind of safety "goggles", not glasses- that have the wraparound for your forehead.

cavosil works good when mixed with resin, just mix it up so its nice and thick before you catalyze it, better application than just pure resin, and it doesnt delam from your material or thin out by drooping.

few things happened today...i finished the bondo. the subs showed up, i primed, and guide coated it. wet sanded, and primed again. its getting color tommorow.

sorry for the size, i don't know what happened

i'll change it later!!
