one needs to remember that the enclosure plays a big role in power handling.

the coil also has to come into play, if he gets the dual 2 thats actually 1.4 so .7 par, depending on the amp and electrical system he might have problems

that's DCR, not the reactive load. Impedance rise is going to put it way above .7
