Fi Q - What size/what box to use?

Hey all, I'm upgrading my current setup and I've decided to go with a pair of Fi Q's... I have a few questions tho.

I want something that's hella loud but sounds nice and accurate, not just sloppy loud bass. the Fi Q's seem like a great solution. I'm wondering, would I be better off getting 12's or 15's? The 15's would play deeper, right?

Also, with these subs what would be a better bet, using a sealed box or ported? My current sealed setup hits pretty clean and accurately, would ported make the sound "looser"? Thanks!

zomg, you are so pimp

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif you seem to know nothing about car audio so i would suggest you do some searching to up your knowledge, even if by a bit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

man, your system looks straight out of Best Buy or some shit
Geeze, take it easy dragnix //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif, lawl

But I would go for a pair of the 12's or one of the 15's (I would lean more towards the single 15 though) and put 1000 rms to it in a 3.8 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 32Hz or so (and a 60 sq inch port area would be a good size to go along with that).

Okay, I joined these forums in the hope of gaining a bit of guidance and advice from some of the more knowledgable members, not to be ridiculed and put down... everybody starts somewhere you know I'm sure you remember a time which you knew very little about car audio...

That said, if anyone with some actual advice (thanks craigzter and pioneer~saturn) could help me out I would appreciate it...

Oh BTQ Pioneer~Saturn... how is the ported setup compare in SQ? Thanks again.

IMO in the right box, ported sounds great (tuned nice and low...31-32Hz)

yes there was a time when i didn't know anything about car audio. And i used the search button many times to learn all that i can learn. If you look around, there are tons, and i mean tons, of threads about FI subs. And it's not only excluded to this forum.

Your picture just seem humorous to me for the most part though.

That word is nonexistent...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Cool... My goal is to build a system that I won't look back on in 2-3 months and say "Geez... I shoulda got this

sub or that amp. I want something that's gonna serve me for a good long while (until I start to lose hearing and need another upgrade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)
